GlobalNomad2 - It's always refreshing to come into a restaurant which has good solid, home-cooked food. It's a cafe at the end of Main St., very cozy and cheerful inside, friendly service. They have a great breakfast selection and sandwiches, wraps, soups and salads for lunch.

skier15 - Excellent food and service in this renovated Victorian house. Located in the historic downtown area, this cute restaurant has been around since "1974". Try one of the homemade breads or one of the eggs benedict's.

Here are some reviews from our customers...

trappedinthecity - This place was SOOOO good. My husband and I recently spent a few days in Georgetown as a quick getaway. There were several restaurant options in this small town so we decided to give them a try starting out with the Happy Cooker for breakfast. Wow! Clearly waffles were a specialty so we gave one a try as a side and it was delicious, a thick, crispy, tasty European waffle. I had the benedict and was delighted. It was wonderful, cooked just right and the hollandaise sauce was perfect... I always feel a good benedict = a good restaurant! My husband had the biscuits and gravy and LOVED them, I'm not much of a biscuits and gravy person but he said they were piping hot, the eggs were cooked perfectly and the gravy was just the right amount of creamy and spicy. The Happy Cooker was so good that the following day we decided to have a big lunch. Again, we were not disappointed! I had a WONDERFUL vegetarian burrito and my husband ordered the meatloaf (something I refuse to make at home so a real treat!) again, we were so happy with the food. My burrito was huge as was his meatloaf and was just what we wanted for a big lunch. Hearty, filling and delicious! However, if you were looking for a lighter lunch I noticed a lot of people ordering the homemade soup and bread and a local we met at the table next to us told us that the soup is always a favorite of hers! The Happy Cooker is absolutely worth eating at!

Missourijanet - On our way from Vail to Kansas City recently. we stopped in Georgetown and enjoyed a wonderFULL breakfast on the Happy Cooker's outdoor patio on a sunny. cool morning. The service was friendly and efficient, food great, portion sizes generous and views of the mountains amazing. Enjoy!
